Pleasant Fall

An autumn has come to Spokane! It is the quite different atmosphere in the summer. Fall turned color of the leaves. There are full of trees aflame with red, yellow and orange leaves. Leaves were falling on the ground as if it was snow. The sunshine lights me softly as it smiles sweetly. The campus at MFWI looks as pretty as picture on the canvas. All of trees are exactly beautiful! I thought that America does not have 4 seasons though only spring and summer; nevertheless it is a beautiful autumn as much as Japanese autumn. In Japan, people associate what the autumn is beautiful and colorful trees, yummy foods of autumn and reading a book.

I wanted to enjoy the atmosphere and take a picture of the autumn at MFWI through I walked around at MFWI with my friend, who is Kyoko, on Sunday. From after the SW trip, leaves suddenly have turned red, yellow and so on because it’s getting cold over here lately. Sometimes leaves fall down with flapping. That was so beautiful so I tried to take pictures with it. Unfortunately when I arrived under that tree, they stopped falling down! That was too bad but never mind; consequently I took pictures with beautiful autumn color’s tree, so that was OK. We started to walk looking for more beautiful views far away to the Spokane River near a cemetery. When we arrived there we got nice views there. Suddenly I came up strange idea for taking picture from my brain. That was jumping picture by self-timer! About 2 of 3 times we had failures, finally we got a very good photo. The timing, the location were perfect, and the sky was a fine. This day I really enjoyed the autumn at MFWI.

There are various kinds of foods in the autumn, Japan, like a persimmon which is orange color and circle fruit, a grilled Pacific fish ( It is called sanma in Japan) which is blue fish and people often eat it during the autumn in Japan. In Japan, we celebrate Jyugoya at the garden our instead of Halloween, which is one of traditional Japanese festivals on October 15th and middle from summer to fall; we usually enjoy watching a full moon with chestnuts, rice cakes and Japanese pampas grasses (It is called susuki in Japanese in Japan). Jyugoya is kind of romantic festival. While I watch the full moon, I can hear insects sing a beautiful song. The Japanese pampas grasses by the moon light glitter like a jewel. It is one of parts make the atmosphere of Jyugoya romantic. In the romantic atmosphere, I enjoy having foods while watching the full moon and listening to a insects' song.

Fall is best season for reading in Japan. A one reason why the fall is called like that in Japan is many new books are selled in the autumn. Every fall, I enjoy reading books under the trees at a park near my house because I can be relax. I also do same things here on Saturdays and Sundays. I have started to read twilight. That is very thick book, and I want to finish to read it by when I go and watch that movie at movie theater. My reading class assignment has me read a book. Both are difficult. I wonder I read a book with relaxing by changing the place so I intend to read book under the trees until fall has gone.
Fall is my favorite season of the 4 seasons. I enjoy fall with yummy food, stunning and attractive color leaves and some special activities every year in Japan. Additionally, I like in the cozy and pleasant autumn atmosphere. I can't enjoy the fall in Japan only this year, but I am lucky I am here because I can experience fall of America. Even fall in America is a little bit different from the autumn in Japan. I also like the fall in America, nevertheless, I love Japanese one more. I will enjoy the rest of the fall here.
