First of all, sceans were extremely beautiful with the perfect sky. I went to Santa Fe. Houses made from adobe, which is made of mud and straw, in Santa Fe, NM. The wall was smoothly and the color was brown. Buildings are not so tall about 1 or 2 floors except the hotels. all of the Abobe, smell was spicy kind of because there were lots of red chilies were hanged on roof. I had about 2 hour free time in Santa Fe. I went with Makiko and Saori. K. We had no plan where we go so we wonder a little far away from the meeting place. There were many attractive places such as private houses, small markets and shops. I was interested in such a cute gathering houses. They looked Disneyland. There were orange terraces, spiral staircases, colorful flowers in the pots, cute shape gates and of course the adobe houses. I can’t explain enough so look at pictures. Santa Fe is my most favorite city. I want to live there someday.
Second, o
ur biggest plan on this trip was to go to the Grand Canyon. In front of me was the big canyon. I couldn't believe my eyes. I couldn't know how deep was it and I couldn't see the end of the Grand Canyon because it continued to landscape. When we arrived the Grand Canyon, we enjoyed the atmosphere of the Grand Canyon with our eyes, our ears, our nose and our skins silently. All of the extension students and our teachers were silent. Even if I closeing my eyes, I could feel to smell, to hear winds and to touch rock or earth. Then I imagined what the Grand Canyon is with closing my eyes. It was huge and I was a tiny, tiny person in my brain. Next morning, I woke up 5 o’clock to see the sunrise. My group 15 had a big plan on this day. It was Misaki’s birthday! Night before, we made a plane to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY in hiragana by our bodies. After the sunrise, we did that performance and sang a birthday song. In addition, Christopher interviewed her about a dream and a wish for her future. She was so surprised and looked happy. Our surprise plan was successful! Of course my best part of the Grand Canyon was Misaki’s birthday.
Third, I enjoyed the South West cuisine with my tongue, my nose, my eyes and my ears. On day 1, I did a doggy bag meal as dinner. It was tacos with chili sauce. I chose green chili for sauce. Green chili is hotter than red chilies. I love spicy so I thought I could eat green chili. Actually, however, it was too hot for me to eat. I will never try to eat it again. My good memory was for dinner in which I ate Kabob because waiter and waitress sang and danced during dinner. The first song and a final song they sang and danced 5- 6 together. That added a little spice to the atmosphere. Sometimes one person sang a song by theirself. These songs were romantic one. It made the atmosphere romantic. I enjoyed eating Kabob with songs and dances.

I really enjoyed my trip with my scenses. I took many photos. I often see them and remember my greatest memories, especially views such as the enormous the perfect sky, beautiful adobe and huge seine of the Grand Canyon. All of them are unforgettable to me! It is my dream to live in Santa Fe, NM=D I really enjoyed the Southwest Trip!
