Three Good Musicals :D

I watched three good musicals this semester: Phantom of the Opera, Chicago and High School Musical on Ice. I liked all of these because musicals make me cheerful!

I watchd The Phantom of the Opera in October and the scale was big! The hall, stage and set were bigger than I expected. I read the book in French class and also watched the movie so I could understand the story easily. At the begginig of the show, I was surprised because the big chandelier, which is part of the set, suddenly fell down to the audience! It was good stage direction :) The story was pretty good but a little sad... However, I liked the music very much. After the show, we could hear how to make the stage direction. It was very interesting for me because there were many good devices which I didn't notice while I was watching the show.

Next, I watched Chicago last week. I've watched the movie many times and I like it so I was very excited! The show was very similar to the movie especially the actors' characters. Their music and dance were very cool and also sexy! I couldn't believe that all of them were younger than me. After the show, we could meet the actors and actresses and take pictures. They were very kind and beautiful! The woman who played ROXIE said the practice was very hard and they did it every day. I could expect that it was very hard because their dance and music were perfect :) I really enjoyed it!

I also watched High School Musical on Ice last week. It was the first time I watched an ice skating show. I was surprised because they could dance on ice very well like on land. I couldn't do it even if I just stood on the ice :( However they jumped, spun and danced on ice. The set was changed quickly with the music. It was very fun :D I liked not only their dance and music but also their fashion because it was so cute and similar to the actors and actresses in the movie. I really want to watch High School Musical 3! I think it will be good!

I think each musical was special so I liked all of them :) I'm glad I could watch many musicals this semester. I want to watch many more musicals in Japan. Please let me know if you have a musical which you recommend!
