Today some surprising and wonderful events happened. Today which is September eleventh is my birthday. Today in America is yesterday in Japan, and yesterday in Japan was my birthday, so I didn't think about it so much here in America. When I passed in front of my RA's room in the morning, I was a little surprised because she left a happy birthday message for me on her white board. It felt good to see it, and I wrote her a few sentences in reply. After class in the morning, I had lunch with Ron, Saori and Yae in the small room for the student in the dining hall during the office hours. During this lunch, I was so surprised that almost all the extension girls, Ron and my RA Lolo sang a birthday song for me! Though I was too surprised to say something, I was so happy.
After class, when I was doing my homework, some girls and my old RA Sara brought me some presents with birthday cards! I was also surprised and happy. My roommate took some pictures of me with them. After that, I had a wonderful time and I had a grateful feeling inside. Fortunately, I had another more surprising and happy thing! After dinner, all extension girls practiced a song for the Welcome Banquet. We finished practicing it about five minutes before at seven which is time for the tutorial. In brief, I had to hurry to get to tutorial. Unfortunately, one of my friends let me follow into the restroom in the hall which we practiced singing the song in though I was going to run to my house. I was a little annoyed because her action was slowly. I was worried whether I could go to my house on time for tutorial, when we're in front of the our house. When we were in front of the door of our house, she chimed the bell. I thought her behavior was strange because I was in a hurry. However, her action was parts of the plan. When I entered our tutorial room, the light was turned on suddenly, and my group members and Lolo began to sing the birthday song to me! The tutorial room was decorated. Colorful chains made of paper were surprised from corners of the ceiling to a chandelier. A big poster with the words 'Happy Birthday, Yuki' was hung at the entrance of the room. They gave me a birthday card. Lolo gave me a rock music CD which was edited by her. I was so surprised and I've never been as happy as I was at that time. After that, we played UNO which is kind of card game. For me, today is such a happy day!! I'm glad that I have great friends!! I want to thank all of them who cerebrated with me. Today will be one of my best memories.
