Japanese are seen younger than their age. Why? I think a reason is responsibility. Young American people leave their parents' homes after they graduate from high schools. In their parents' houses they help cooking, washing, cleaning. They earn money for university so they study hard. While in Japan most young Japanese hardly help their parents. After they graduate from high schools, most of them stay at their parents' houses. They don't earn by themselves for university but for playing with friends. So they don't study hard. They sleep during the classes and send e-mails. Not all of us are like this, but some of us are like this. I can see Americans' responsibilities in their faces because they are surviving in America. America is a free country but people have to take risks if they want to do something. Japanese have to take risks too, but the risks are more lower than Americans'. Japan is not as strict as America. As for alcohol, Americans obey the rules but Japanese hardly obey their rules so they drink alcohol even though they aren't 20. If someone tell someone to drink alcohol and he or she isn' t over20 and don't want to do it, most Japanese can't refuse it. Americans have responsibilities and are honest. I like them because when I drink alcohol, I sometimes feel guilty. It is Japanese culture but I like Americans' responsibilities more.
