Happy 20th Aging Day

Hi! How are you? It's too late, but let me tell you about my coming of age ceremony as I said in former blog. In January 12nd, I got up at 6 o'clock to have my hair arranged and to wear Furisode(Kimono.) I think it was not so early because some people had to wake up at 3 or 4 o'clock, right? I was so excited because I expected I would be able to see my friends in elementary school or junior high school. It took about one and half an hour to complete everything. when I finished wearing Furisode, I felt tired because of obi, which is like a rope to tie in my stomach, was too tight. When I went outside, it started raining, so I was shocked because it was very troublesome to walk wet road in Furisode. I arrived at the place where the ceremony was held at 9 o'clock. When I entered the hall, I heard someone call my name. I turned to the voices and I found they are my friends in junior high school. I cried to them "Long time no see!" We enjoyed a little conversation and said "See you later." because I had to go to the room for performer in aging ceremony. Some member gathered when I entered the room. We talked until the coming of age ceremony would begin.

At 10 o'clock, the ceremony started. Now, there is a problem, there are many people who had bad manners in coming of age ceremony. How about your ceremony? My ceremony was so noisy. Many people talked, shouted while mayor made a speech. What a childish 20 years old people... I was surprised some people who wore colorful Hakama and Afro wig whose color was gold entered. They were very very noisy, too! If I were a mayor, I would shut them out of the hall!

Next was entertainment stage. Our brass band team named "Twenty Dreams" performed some songs. We played Lupin the Third, Niji(Aqua Timez), Kiseki(GReeeeN). We practiced twice a week. The time was really delightful time and I remembered the days in junior high school, when I practiced hard every day. Of course, I was pleased I could join this brass band team. This performance was the best memory in the ceremony.

After the ceremony, I visited my grandmother and uncle to show my Furisode. In fact, the pain of my back because of Obi was beyond limit and It hurt very much. It was too painful for me to sit down and stand up. I stayed at my grandmother's house about 2 hours. During the stay, my grandmother gave me some snacks and tea, but I couldn't eat or drink because my stomach was tied by obi. At the end, I took good pictures with my grandmother and uncle.

On the evening, the alumni was held in Izakaya near my house. There were many people who saw me for the first time since the graduation. They changed very much, so I often said "Who is he or she?" I enjoyed talking my friends very much. I hoped we can see again soon. My coming of age day was so long, but I will never forget☆
