The Wonderful Language

What a nice language English is! This is what I thought when I visited WSU with all of the extension members and Christopher on September 16th. There were many interesting things we did at WSU.

I was surprised at fast when we arrived at WSU, because it was such a large university, and there were many people there. Before we met students, we divided into some small groups, and we went to each of their classes in which our conversation partners were. I met a man who came from Saudi Arabia and a Japanese girl. We introduced each other in English and drew each face as a game to be good friend. We enjoyed this game very much, and we kept the funny nice pictures.

After that, our conversation partners were changed, but we walked around with some other groups. We had lunch together, and we talked about each of our countries and our universities. Some of the members of our group included Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese, but everyone talked together in English! I thought English was wonderful because if it were not English, we couldn't talk about anything to each other. We were really communicating with each other and becoming good friends through English.

After lunch time, the WSU students told us about their university during our university tour. There were a lot of buildings on campus such as library and dormitory. I was excited because they were different from both of our university in Spokane and Japan. Although we couldn't what the buildings for at first, We knew about them and what there were in inside because they explained in English.

Finally, we said good bye to each other. We had a good time on that day with WSU students. Although there were some Japanese, and we spoke Japanese to them, I enjoyed talking with the students who came from the other countries in English. I thought English is important again, and I'd like to study English much more to learn about many countries!
