Hi, how are you? I had caught a cold since I came back to Japan. So I was very sad that I could not see my great grandmother because of it. However, I can visit her now, I am glad of it!
Anyway, I went to go to my hometown's celebration. I mean I live in a different city which is next to my hometown now, but almost all my friends live in my hometown. I was glad to see many classmates there. Girls wore kimono and some boys wore hakama. Everyone is beautiful, pretty and cool!!
First, I saw the performance of Japanese drums. It was soooooooo cool! Then the mayor of my hometown spoke to us and I heard the performance of my high school's brass band. It was beautiful, but I had lost interest in the Japanese pop music. :-(
After that celebration, I would like to take a picture with my friend, but he came back to his home before I catch him. I was very sad but I took pictures with my best friends. I was surprised that I see my housemate who lived in same house in MFWI. She is a education student. I was happy to see her again.
So, how was your coming-of-age celebration?

Koto,
I'm sorry you caught a cold when you returned to Japan. That always happens to me, too. I also wanted to wish you a happy adult day. There are a lot of students who are celebrating this event now and I'm glad you took the time to write it in this blog.
We are fine here. I know that the teachers are getting ready for the next session.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Christopher
