My Concern

I could see a historical event on November 4, deciding the next U.S. president. America chose Obama. I hope he will be a good president for America, and, of course, Japan and all of the world. However, I worry about the relationship between America and Japan when I hear bad rumors.

I worry about the Japanese abduction issue, i.e. the abduction of Japanese citizens by North Koreans. Bush said Obama will have to deal with it after him. I thought his speech meant that this problem would be resolved while Bush was still president. I would like it to be solved as soon as possible, but I know it is a difficult problem to resolve.

I also heard American people are hoarding guns because Obama may try to change the law so that they can never buy guns. I think guns are important for them to protect themselves, so I guess guns are necessary for America. However, Japanese people are afraid of guns and we have no idea about guns because we seldom see them and our image is that they are dangerous and scary. I would like American people not to buy guns.

My concern is how America will be changed by Obama. I think he will struggle with many problems. I want to boost him, and I hope this next U.S. president will change America to be a better country.
