As you know, we went to WSU yesterday. It took about three hours to go there, so I slept during the time. We separated into three groups and started to talk with my partners. I had two partners, one was the female student from Taiwan whose name was Tiffany and the other was a male student from Saudi Arabia whose name was Hazem.
After we talked a little, we went to a cafe to eat lunch. However Hazem went somewhere as he couldn't eat lunch because of his religion which is forbidden to eat and drink something while they can look at the sun. So we would see again after our lunch finished. There were many choices for lunch, for example, Pizza, Tacos, hamburger and salad. After thinking which food I wanted to eat, I selected hamburger because the beef the cook was cooking looks delicious. In lunch time, I enjoyed talking with Tiffany. We talked about Hazem. All of us have three meals in a day, so we couldn't believe we couldn't eat and drink anything from sunrise to sunset. We have brunch every weekend in America, but even that is available for me because it makes me very hungry. I asked Tiffany the question "What Japanese do you know?" Her answer was "Ohayo (Good morning), konnichiwa (Good afternoon), konbanwa (Good evening), arigato (Thank you) tadaima (I'm home), itadakimasu (When we started to eat meal, we say it)." I was happy she knew many Japanese. In the middle of lunch, her friends came to her and talked. I was so surprised because they spoke Japanese. In fact, they were exchange students from Japan. Their university was Kansai foreign language university which I know very well. The meeting with them was astonishing, but a little depressing. Because we are same students from Japan and same age, but there was big difference between them and I. They came there only themselves, studied hard surrounded with foreign people and spoke English very well. The opposite, I'm surrounded by Japanese, don't study English than them and can't speak English as them. I thought I must study harder and harder, or I can't improve so much.
After lunch, Hazem joined us and began to tour around the campus. At first, we went to Compton Union Building. In the building there was book store, Starbucks and even cosmetics were sold. Next, we went to look at the stadium. There were two fields and one of them was used. Do American university have these field for practice something? It's marvelous! MWU also has the field near it, but it is so small comparing with them. I couldn't visit anymore because I didn't have no time, but I envy people who can study in the beautiful and wide campus such a WSU. In addition the dormitory was so cute! I exchange E-mail address with my partners ,so I will send. I want to keep in contact with them!
