Enviable Environment

Today I went to Washington State University.There are many different many different people from different countries in that class which I went to. One of my conversation partners came from Libya. He said that he can't eat any food until after 6:00 p.m. on that day because he has to fast so Asuka and I couldn't go to the cafeteria to have lunch with him. Two of our conversation partners came from Taiwan at the cafeteria came and talked with us. They mostly spoke English but sometime I could hear Japanese. Also I could see Japanese characteristic there. These Japanese gathered with other Japanese so I thought it was strange because they can communicate with many foreigners so what a waste!! I envy their opportunity to be at WSU but they don't seem to be taking advantage of it. One woman conversation partner showed us her dorm room. It was small but seemed comfortable but when she saw picture of my dorm room, she said that "It looks like a hotel, doesn't it! " We envy each other. However I thought that sharing rooms and bathrooms between foreigners in the dorm is a good opportunity for them to speak English and improve their English.

This time at WSU became a good opportunity for me because I could meet many people from different countries and ask them many ideas about English and job. I can study English anywhere, if I work hard but I can not help envying their environment of international students who are studying English at WSU. Anyway I had a really nice time, there.
