The American Family

I love American people's relationships. When I went to homestay last semester, my host parents always went places together. The father took good care of his children. In Japan only mothers care for their children. Besides, fathers who work don't help their wives. It suddenly came to me that the American family is close to each other. How do they do it?

I heard from an RA about my question. She said, "My brother is like one of my friends. I eat special dinners on holidays with my family. They make me happy." I eat dinner with my friends, so I don't eat dinner with my family.

How about travel? I go on a trip for only special times because of my parents' work. Japan is smaller than America. If I want to go on a journey, I go with my friends. But now I'm a college student so I can't take the time to travel. Though American people are as busy as me, they enjoy their free time with their family.
