Spike, the famous GU mascot, was an excellent host to Extension students when we visited Gonzaga University this week. We enjoyed lunch at the student union, an informative presentation by Amber and Melissa, and then a tour with Tony. One of the most surprising spots on our walk across campus was a golf area--green grass with a bunker and a sand trap, situated next to Lake Arthur and the Spokane River.

At the Jundt Art Museum, we saw many colorful and beautiful pieces of glass by Chihuly and sculptures by Rodin. Amazing! Finally we took a walk through Saint Aloysius church and learned about the Catholic religion, saints and rituals in preparation for our visit to the Southwest. Our university visit was fun and successful.
